About The Photographer
Hey there! I'm Lisa. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Chicago where most of my family still resides. In 2010 I decided to quit my job, sell most of my belongings and make the solo move to lovely Fort Collins, Colorado. With city roots and mountain wings, I considers myself blessed to get to experience two vastly different landscapes and lifestyles. It was one of my very favorite decisions! I now happily reside here with my husband, Tony and our HUGE Chocolate Lab, Bodhi.
When I am not behind a camera, you will most likely find me hiking around this beautiful state or traveling to some far away place. I love to spend as much time outside as I possibly can! I am also known to be a "stir crazy" human and an avid traveler. One of my favorite adventures thus far, was my 6 week backpacking trip through Southeast Asia. It is hard to put into words just how amazing that trip was. It helped me realize that I love being able to emerge myself in culture different from my own and I actually really enjoy being totally out of my element.
I have a deep passion for all things music as well. My husband was in an internationally touring punk rock band for 11 years and we are both fans of the scene. We love going to see live music and we have frequent living room jam sessions/dance parties. We are also BIG vinyl collectors. Between the two of us we have a collection of over 450 albums and our record player is pretty much always spinning.
I am a retired Roller Derby and I am proud to say that it is the best sport ever! I made life long friends and met some of the most bad-ass women I know! It is so much more than a sport! There is something magical about spinning around on a pair or skates and I often daydream about what it would be like to be on the Moxi Skate Team...(if you don't know them, you should!). Life is simply better on 8 wheels.
My journey's have allowed me to see many new places, meet many new people, and discover new passions along the way...and of course take pictures! Lots of pictures!
